VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud for Enterprises
As we are aware, any branch faces various WAN issue while accessing the Application hosted in datacenter, Cloud, or any mobile services. SD-WAN VeloCloud solve this problem by providing reliable expending BW, and service insertion.
Today’s Enterprise WAN Challenges:
Following are the today most challenges faced by any Enterprise, discussed below:
- Expensive WAN Bandwidth: WAN Bandwidth are very expensive in nature costing od WAN is very high causing financial burden to every enterprise.
- Branch Complexity: due to distributed offices in various location, explosion in applications due to various demands per sector and services has made branch offices complex to deploy, upgrade, manage and maintain.
- Rigid Architecture: Due to backhaul of traffic and traditional Architecture, it is very difficult to make changes in any Network Environment due to daily change in demand of application
VMware SD-WAN Architecture for Enterprise:
With use of Wired and wireless Internet along with MPLS or without MPLS VMware SD-WAN create enterprise wide area networks which provides increased bandwidth, high performance access to cloud, service insertion and extensive network visibility.
There are three Enterprise SD-WAN Architecture provided by VeloCloud:
- Cloud Internet Only SD-WAN
- Cloud Hybrid SD-WAN
- On-Premises Hybrid SD-WAN
We will discuss these topology one by one:
Cloud Internet Only SD-WAN Architecture:
Below is SD-WAN architecture supported by SD-WAN VeloCloud which is only Internet based
In this, Branch is using SD-Wan Edge and multiple internet can be connected to it. DC is also connected to Internet via HUB Edge and SaaS cloud is connected by gateways. Branch and DC Edge will form tunnel to it local and nearest SD-WAN gateways for control plane.
Cloud Hybrid SD-WAN Architecture:
In this , Branch is using SD-Wan Edge and multiple internet and MPLS can be connected to it. DC is also connected to Internet and MPLS link via HUB Edge and SaaS cloud is connected by gateways. Branch and DC Edge will form tunnel to it local and nearest SD-WAN gateways for control plane.
On-Premises Hybrid SD-WAN Architecture:
In this , Branch is using SD-Wan Edge and multiple internet and MPLS can be connected to it. DC is also connected to Internet and MPLS link via HUB Edge and SaaS cloud is connected by gateways. Branch and DC Edge will form tunnel to it local and nearest SD-WAN gateways for control plane. In this all Orchestrator , Controller are hosted on Datacenter .
