LAB Server Pool Creation Configuration

Task:

• Create an empty server pool named Dclessons-Server-32GB.
• Create a server pool qualification named Dc-Ser-32GB-Qula and ensure that it only qualifies certain servers.
  • Must contain a Palo mezzanine adapter.
  • Must contain at least 32GB of RAM.
• Use the previously created server pool Policy qualification (Dc-Ser-32GB-Qula) to populate the previously created server pool (Dclessons-Server-32GB.) using a server pool policy named Dcle-Server-Pool

Solution:

On the Servers tab, filter or navigate to Pools | root, right-click Server Pools, and click Create Server Pool. Enter the name as shown and click Next.

Leave the Pooled Servers pane empty as shown and click Finish. On the Servers tab, filter or navigate to Policies | root, right-click Server Pool Policy Qualifications, and click Create Server Pool Policy Qualification.

Assign the name as directed. Then click the + on the bottom and click Create Adapter Qualifications. In the Type field, choose Virtualized Eth If and click OK.

Click the + on the bottom and click Create Memory Qualifications. In the Min Cap (MB) field, click Select, enter the value of 32000, and click OK.
